Two-way sync and Smart mode
Choose how manual runs reconcile changes and deletions from both computers.
Run from either computer
For a two-way task, Run or Sync now checks both sides. It can bring changes from the other computer even when you start the run on this one. Keep both apps running and the folders accessible.
Smart comparison
Smart mode uses the sync history to reconcile changes instead of assuming the computer you clicked is always correct. If an unchanged file was deleted on one side, deletion can propagate according to the task’s rule. A deletion competing with a modified copy is kept as a conflict for review.
Operating device first
This setting makes the computer starting a manual two-way run authoritative for that run. For example, if a file was deleted on A, running on A propagates that deletion; running on B can restore B’s copy to A. The same priority applies to file changes.
Scheduled and real-time runs continue using Smart behavior. One-way and Mirror retain their source/destination rules. The Smart / Operating device first setting is shared between paired devices; an offline device receives the setting after reconnecting.
Choose Operating device first only when you deliberately want the clicked computer’s state to take priority. Review large deletion confirmations and use Recovery protection.
