Enable two-way real-time sync
Automatically synchronize changes from either device without recreating a task.
Create a real-time task
Under Real-time sync, select two-way behavior when you want changes from either folder to synchronize automatically. Select the folders, review the safety rules and create the task.
Change an existing two-way task
Open the Sync Space’s settings and enable or disable two-way real-time sync. You can change the setting from either participating computer; you do not need to delete and recreate the task.
Wait for both devices
The setting is synchronized between the devices. If one is offline, the app indicates that the setting is waiting to sync. Reconnect and keep both apps running so the pending change can be applied.
Keep safety enabled
Real-time runs retain conflict protection and Recovery. SyncKeeper avoids repeatedly treating its own transfers as fresh user changes. If two copies are changed independently, review any unresolved conflict instead of repeatedly forcing runs.
Real-time does not mean files can transfer while the other computer is unreachable or the app is fully quit.
