SYNCKEEPER USER GUIDE
Quick answers
Practical guides for Windows and Mac. Start here, sync with confidence.
Do both computers need SyncKeeper open?
Yes. Direct device transfers require both apps and the selected folders to be available. See connection troubleshooting.
Can I sync two folders on one computer?
Yes. Choose This computer for both folders. External drives and mounted network shares can also participate when available.
Does pairing share every folder?
No. Add a specific folder on its owning computer, then select that shared folder in the Sync Space. An already shared folder does not require another approval.
Is sync an independent backup?
No. A sync can propagate unwanted changes or deletions. Recovery helps with protected operations, but keep an independent backup of important files.
